So drivers declining it due to low pay doesn't really fit here. It only took them 5 minutes to get the order out to me which could be good, or bad. And in this case it seems it was a bad thing, because it was already ready when I got there. And this restaurant doesn't even receive the order until after a driver accepts it, then they start making it. So it being ready when we get there usually never happens. I was expecting the typical 20 minute wait time. So another driver accepted the order, so it gets put into their POS system, behind all other on site customer orders of course. But after waiting forever the driver bails. Experienced drivers know about the long wait time at this merchant. So we either decline the order from the get go. Or if the pay is worth the wait we know we will be waiting for it for awhile so no need to bail on the order.
This was likely a new driver who didn't know this merchant has long wait times during peak hours.
I've asked support about this and they can't get any answers why this happens.
You were in Olivehurst and I didn't want you to think any delivery time issues or food quality issues were my fault. Some fast foods don't travel well, and that was a hefty little journey. I literally passed 2 other McDonalds on the way to your house that were closer.
