Stand as close as possible to the location you are trying to mark. Then zoom in on your real time location, the blue dot. Until you get pretty close so you will be marking the right building. then click on the icon indicated by the red arrow. Remember never use the + symbol, it doesn't work.
After clicking it a little red bouncing icon will appear. You have to touch on it and drag it to position it where you want it. It will not give you the option to verify unless you drag it at least a teeny bit.
Now it will show the GPS coordinates above it. And a blue check mark option will appear. Click the check mark to tell the app that's where you want the pin dropped. Sometimes it takes a second for it to proceed to the next screen.
A + symbol next to a category means you can enter multiple selections from the drop down menu. You just have to check box everything you want it to enter. A little downward triangle means you can only enter one selection from the drop down menu. The list it pulls from is quite extensive, it may take a second to populate the fields.
Search for the address of the complex "00700" and click the box to the left of the number. If there's a building number or letter you can enter it by searching "bldg 1" or "bldg D"
You can scroll through the list, or just add the letter or number to the search. Remember to check mark the box to the left of your selection.
Finally you can search for "note" to select from a pre selected list of notes about the complex.
The second selection box deals with apartment numbers or letters. Suite numbers, and some general notes options about the selections. Check mark all the units you want to included.
And sometimes whether the units are upstairs or downstairs. This can be tricky, I'll cover this more in the on site labeling section. There's a few general type of complexes you will run into. And then some that are weird in the way they are set up. And it can be tricky to label them.
Finally the 3rd box is the County and City where the complex is located. It's very important users enter accurate information including the city and county. The app will grow by leaps and bounds. And as it does I will need to move things around. If pins are listed with the wrong city and county tags. Then things are going to get all scrambled up. I'm going to work hard to give drivers a tool that makes your day easier. So please do your best to enter accurate information.
REMEMBER TO HIT SAVE
Your final input will look something like this. You can go back and edit each section before saving if needed. But after you save it, it can't be edited. So make sure it's right before hitting save. Mistakes will happen, but the fewer the better. Nothing more frustrating than being led to the wrong location. If a user has entered incorrect information. There is a process to enter a new pin with the right information, and put an alert on the bad pin. I trust very few people though, so most of the work will be done by little old me. I want it done right, so I will be the chief editor of all the apps I offer. I'll do my best to keep up on bad pins that have been reported.
