PLEASE PACE YOURSELF WHEN ENTERING DATA INTO THE ITEM FINDER
Do a little at a time until you get your bearings doing it. Forgetting to change filter options when changing aisles, or section numbers will make the tool useless. So practice, once you get good. You will be able to add a shelf range quickly while performing a shop. Or hit a store you frequent on your down time, and tackle aisles that are tough for you to navigate.
I'm going to make the it more detailed for the over the counter, and personal care sections of stores like Walgreens. I also hate searching high and low for a specific product that ends up being sold out. And it took 20 minutes to find the empty home tag.
REMEMBER, filters, filters, filters
Let's add some shelf ranges
It's easier if you focus on a specific aisle and section at a time. rather than trying to bounce aisle to aisle. I've made this pretty easy if you follow the guide.
Before you do anything go into the search bar and set the filters for the store location, aisle, and section. Once these are set they will automatically be entered when you start a new entry. So see how jumping aisles, and forgetting to change the filters can really mess things up.
Remember to hit done when done entering filters.

Now 60% of the work is done automatically until your done with that section. All you have to do is enter the shelf range. And then on the drop down menu select all the name brands on those shelf's.
Sometimes items are on the wrap around end section of an aisle. So in the aisle category you can add a tag for that. search for end cap, side kick, or aisle hanger. Aisle hangers are those annoying little hang down strips all down the aisles
You'll end up with something like this. remember to hit save. You can edit the entry's only before saving.
With many stores we will have duplicate aisle entry's. Stores that count both sides of the aisle as "aisle 1" I haven't figured out a way for us to easily label that. So there will be two entry's for the same aisle, section, and shelf range. You will just have to check both sides of the aisle.
Produce, bakery, side and back walls, and floating displays will be a little tricky for us. As they won't have any numbers on them for us to reference. And we have to use drop down menus to avoid user generated content. The check outs will be our reference point facing away from them. So back wall is opposite of the check outs, and then left or right wall. Within those there will be dividers like "left wall - left side" "left wall - middle" "left wall - right side. Major changes in the layout such as doors to the back room, a meat or deli counter, or major changes in the products like from pharmacy stuff then frozen meats will also act as a divider. Here's an example

We will use this same procedure to label the left and right walls of the store
You can submit specific label titles you may need in the feedback section. Located in the top left menu button of the app. I'll add them as quickly as I can.
